Sooner or later, something will go wrong. Maybe it'll be a failure of a hard drive in a server, a router in your Internet link, or a fire in your head office gutting your entire building.

In my experience, you can never plan too far ahead. The most unlikely of events can come to pass, and suddenly you can find yourself out of options. Most people plans for some fault contingency with backups taken overnight - but don't realize what would happen if the tape drive had been out of alignment and was writing tapes that could only be read by itself for months. Those tapes are critical - but how many are stored offsite in a secure environment?  How many companies who sell their products primarily through their website, or have come to rely on email for their sales orders, have a second Internet supplier in case the first is severed with a pickaxe a hundred miles away?

I can assess the level of risk that a given business has, and the effect that a failure of technology anywhere could have. Analyzing this risk can show where the weaknesses are, and where cost-effective measures can be taken to reduce or remove that risk.

If the worst has already happened, and an emergency has caused a systemwide failure or recovery from a failed component or item of media is necessary, I can offer a recovery service to retrieve the lost data, or repair the faulty equipment or software.
