I have advised many companies throughout my career on technical directions which they can make, either by better utilizing their existing systems to provide more functionality or expanding them at the lowest possible expense to introduce new facilities.

Every system needs a little maintenance from time to time, and the longer it's been since it was installed, the more important it is that work. I provide consultancy in IT infrastructure, and associated business analysis and usage. I espouse a holistic business-centric requirement-driven methodology to my advice, which means that I look closely at the needs that the target business has, and recommend cost-effective solutions that meet that particular need.

When a solution has been identified, I quote for that work, taking advantage of my contacts within the industry for preferential rates on software and hardware. If my quote is acceptable, I am then responsible for the entire implementation of that solution, from design to completion.

This two-tier approach means that I can offer validity checks on architecture improvements planned by businesses that already possess an IT department, but wish to ensure that the changes they plan take advantage of current technology and will deliver the improvements envisaged.

I have extensive technical experience of industry-standard server systems on Compaq and Dell hardware, communications systems on Cisco and HP hardware, and software systems on Microsoft, Unix, and Novell software. This is supported by fourteen years of working in the IT industry for many leading corporations and public-sector organizations.
