Software Integration Services

  • Provides the ability to exchange information between different application packages, across different operating systems and platforms.
  • Enables organizations to choose the right software tool for the business need, and get it working with their existing infrastructure.
  • Removes the need to purchase whole suites of software or train users to use packages they don't need.

Often, there comes a need to add an extra function to the existing IT systems. It can be just a small modification to a spreadsheet program to include a lookup to online financial data, or a complete new application whose results must be visible to the company mainframe and to the webserver simultaneously. Maybe the Macintoshes in the Graphics department needs to exchange data seamlessly with the Windows PC's in the Marketing department, or the Linux-based webservers. Perhaps the customer database needs to move onto a client-server model to cut down on the time taken for searches, but the data still needs to be handled by everybody from sales to production.

Whatever the requirement, one of my specialties is the integration of hardware and software, application and data, to provide the complete solution. Based on experience garnered over my entire career, I have often been called upon to configure systems that were not designed to inter-operate together and program them to accept data from sources that the customer had already obtained, in turn providing more uses and higher cost-effectiveness for expensive internal systems.
